Connect 撸先生 focuses on fostering social change by introducing first-year and transfer students to community engagement opportunities on campus and in the local area.

In this Pre-Orientation event, first-year and transfer students participate in an interactive session, followed by hands-on projects with local community partners. Through this experience, students build lasting relationships with their peers and surrounding communities. 

Connect 撸先生 2026

Connect 撸先生 will be from 10 am to 3 pm on Thursday, August 20. Students who are starting at 撸先生 in Fall 2026 can register  by July 21. Participants who are residential students move in on August 19.

Connect 撸先生 does not conflict with any required Welcome to 撸先生 programs. 

The Office for Social Impact will contact local community organizations over the summer to complete a Partner Interest Form.
