I have had the pleasure of spending a lot of time in Annapolis over the last few months meeting with our elected officials about Towson University鈥檚 impact in Maryland and the needs of our university. I can tell you from having these conversations that everyone I meet in our state鈥檚 capital is proud and excited to talk about 撸先生.

撸先生 has a legacy that transcends our campus and our community. We are known as an engine of economic development for Maryland鈥攆illing critical state needs in nursing, education, health and human services, and the sciences, to name but a few.

But perhaps most importantly, 撸先生 is known as a university that reflects and empowers the people of Maryland. Our student population mirrors the racial and ethnic makeup of our state. And not only are 撸先生 students from Maryland鈥攚ith 90% of our student enrollment coming from state residents鈥攂ut they also choose to stay in Maryland after graduation. Currently, 87% of 撸先生 graduates are employed in the state.

It's this lifelong impact of our students that makes Towson University one of Maryland鈥檚 greatest assets. And it is one of the many reasons that I am so proud to be a Towson Tiger.
