鈥� I can say without exaggeration that directing the Ecuador program was a life-changing experience. There is no substitute for personal and direct experience of the life and culture of the countries whose languages we teach, and such direct experience necessarily informs and enhances the experience we in turn can provide to students in the classroom at Towson. In this sense, having had the chance to live and work in Ecuador has been of real benefit to me as a teacher. 鈥�
